Scripts and settings

The app stores script titles, script text, modification times, reader preferences, and remote-button assignments locally on your device. These are used to display your library and keep your preferred reading setup. The developer cannot access them through the app.

You can delete individual scripts from the library or editor. Choosing Delete App in iPhone Settings removes the app and its locally stored data; Offload App may retain that data. There is no developer-operated cloud copy or account to delete.

Apple's device backup or transfer features may include local app data, depending on your settings. Deleting a script or the app does not necessarily remove an existing device backup. Manage those copies through Apple's device and backup settings.

Importing from Rollside

In version 1.1 and later, you can open a script link from Rollside on your Mac. The script is encoded in the link; anyone with the link can read it. Opening it shows an editable draft, which is saved on your iPhone only when you choose Save or Present. QR codes can first open a temporary page served by your Mac over the same local network. That local HTTP connection is not encrypted; use a trusted network. The QR session expires after ten minutes or when the sender panel closes or changes. This does not create a cloud account or a developer-hosted script copy.

Microphone and Voice follow

Voice follow is optional and requires iOS 18 or later, a supported device and on-device speech language, and microphone permission. On iOS 18–26, it also requires speech recognition permission. On supported newer systems it uses Apple's on-device SpeechAnalyzer. Speech is processed on your iPhone so the app can match your voice to your script and adjust its position.

Audio and recognized words are processed on your iPhone. The app does not send them to the developer or a developer-operated server, and does not save an audio recording or a transcript file. Microphone use stops when the Voice follow session ends. You can revoke microphone access in iPhone Settings and continue using Timed scrolling.

Apple manages the speech models used for transcription. If a required model is not already installed, the app asks Apple's system service to download it. This may use an internet connection; it is separate from the on-device processing of your speech.

The app may write technical status information to local device logs to help diagnose operation. These messages do not contain script text, recognized words, or audio recordings. The app does not upload these logs to the developer.

App Store purchases

Apple handles payment for the optional, one-time Pro purchase through the App Store. The app checks Apple's StoreKit purchase entitlement to unlock Pro and restore a previous purchase. The developer does not receive your card number or other payment-card details from the app.

Apple processes App Store activity and payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. Apple may provide the developer with App Store sales and financial reports. These do not give the developer access to your scripts or microphone input.

Accounts, analytics, and tracking

The app does not require an account. It contains no analytics service, advertising SDK, or cross-app tracking, and does not sell your personal information. It does not upload your script library, preferences, or usage history to the developer.

When you contact support

If you email support@soma-meditation.com, you voluntarily share your email address and the contents of your message, including any attachments or device information you choose to provide. This information is used only to answer and resolve your support request and is retained only as long as needed for that purpose.

Support correspondence is processed by the email service used to receive and reply to messages. Avoid sending passwords, payment details, or private script content that is not needed to explain your issue. You can use the same address to ask for deletion of your support correspondence.

This support website

The page code for this website has no analytics scripts, advertising tools, contact forms, or cookies. The hosting platform may process routine technical information, such as an IP address and request details, to deliver and secure the website. Website hosting activity is separate from the app's data handling described above.
