Prompter displays your script for rehearsing and presenting. It does not record video. Use your camera app or filming setup to record your take.

This connection is included in Rollside Prompter 1.1 and later. In Rollside on your Mac, choose Prompter, write or paste your script and select Rollside Prompter as the receiving app. Choose Show QR code. Keep both devices on the same trusted Wi-Fi and leave the sender panel open. Scan with your iPhone Camera, tap Open in Rollside Prompter on the page, and confirm Open. Review the draft, then choose Save or Present. The QR code expires after ten minutes; generate another if needed. Allow incoming connections for Rollside if macOS asks. You can also use Copy script and Apple’s shared clipboard.

Your scripts and reader preferences are saved locally on your iPhone. The app has no account or developer-operated script cloud. Apple's device backups may include app data, depending on your settings. Keep a separate copy of important scripts before deleting the app or changing devices.

Use the delete button on a script in your library, or open its editor and tap Delete. Confirm the prompt to remove it from the app on this device. You can delete the welcome script too; it counts toward the three free saved scripts.

Voice follow requires iOS 18 or later and a supported device and on-device speech language. It uses microphone permission and, on iOS 18–26, speech recognition permission. The first session may need an internet connection to download an Apple speech model. If microphone access was denied, allow it in iPhone Settings. Timed scrolling remains available when Voice follow cannot run.

Speak the words in your script clearly. Swipe the script or use a page-jump button to correct your position while listening continues. You can pause and press Play to start again. Recognition can vary with language, pronunciation, and background noise.

Pair a keyboard-style Bluetooth remote or foot pedal in iPhone Settings. In Reader settings → Remote controls, use Learn a button to assign an action or Test remote input to see what the app receives. Compatibility depends on the events iOS sends to the app; some camera shutter, volume, and media remotes are not compatible.

Choose a rehearsal target in Reader settings, then present your script. The clock measures active playback and shows your progress against the target. It does not automatically change your scrolling speed or speaking pace.

Free includes three saved scripts and the full reader. Pro unlocks unlimited saved scripts with a one-time App Store purchase, with no subscription. The app shows Apple's current price before you purchase.

Open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchases using the Apple Account that made the purchase. An internet connection may be needed to check the App Store. If approval is pending, Pro unlocks after Apple confirms the purchase. Apple handles billing and refund requests. If restoration still fails, email support with the message shown in the app.
